The Gately/Poole Conservatory - A Total Immersion Experience in the Craft of Acting

Founders Kathryn Gately and Richard Poole, Master Acting Teachers, occupy a unique place in American actor's training history. They have created and/or developed together and separately six prominent professional training programs for aspiring actors in Europe and America.

The Gately/ Poole Conservatory through its association with prominent agencies and managers has developed a unique program for training actors. It was designed for promising professionals who were unable to study in a conventional, 2 times per week, long term programs.

This summer The Gately/ Poole Conservatory is offering its successful professional intensives in all levels and is proud announce its new (ATC) Teacher Training Program. It includes 400 hours of classroom and private instruction in acting which is integrated with daily voice and movement classes.

Acting Classes
 

The Acting Intensives are a total immersion into the craft of acting.

Acting Intensives offered:

  • Three week Meisner Intensive equivalent of 1st semester of Meisner Technique
  • Six week Meisner Intensive I equivalent of 1st year of Meisner Technique  
  • Six week Meisner Intensive II  equivalent of 2nd year of Meisner Technique

Students work 8-10 hours each day, 5-6 days per week, with a national and internationally known faculty. Acting classes meet twice a day and include: voice, speech, movement, on-camera acting, action workshops, and scene study.

THE GATELY/POOLE MEISNER (ATC) Program
One Year Teacher Certification Program

National and International Master Acting teachers Kathryn Gately and Richard Poole are proud to announce the first Gately/Poole Acting Teacher Certification program. Over 400 hours of rigorous instruction integrates the disciplines of acting, voice, speech, movement, script analysis, characterization and period style.

This advanced program will cover the entire canon of Sanford Meisner’s first and second year work, as well as the innovative techniques in advanced scene study and characterization developed by Kathryn Gately and Richard Poole over the last 30 years sanford meisner
